I voted for Tom Peterson not because I’m a Republican , or because of his policies- everyone tends to make many promises to get elected. I was in front of Safeway in Fairfax City, getting ready to load my groceries into my car & he introduced himself to me & asked if I needed help. Didn’t say what his job was, etc., just being kind. This was 2 years ago & I remembered him when I saw campaign ads. As a mother of seven sons that grew up & now own a business in Fairfax City, & now have 17 local grandchildren, I have always told them to look someone in the face first when you introduce yourself and offer help without expecting anything in return. People never forget the little things!
